With 16 years of experience, Lost Luggage has developed a reputation for creating handcrafted presentation tools that are unmatched in the industry - a reputation built on the ability to combine distinctive materials with couture-detail fabrication and exceptional design.

Founded in 1994 by Jason Brown, Lost Luggage designs and develops materials that are juxtaposed to create modern and original products. Fueled by attention to detail and purpose of design, Lost Luggage believes that every object should be met with unanimous appreciation in both form and function.

Jason Brown is the founder, product designer and principal of Lost Luggage. He started the company in 1994 with a passion to design and produce custom portfolios and presentation cases for patrons who are searching for high quality and artistry.

He's inspired by the attention to detail in handcrafted objects and believes that craftsmanship of this kind is a "lost art" and should be cherished in a time when commercialization and mass marketing have become the norm. Today the Seattle-based company has expanded into other areas of business: custom binders, accessories and limited edition presentation materials; and a line of standard size portfolios.

"I believe the purpose of every portfolio is to convey the identity of the owner. People are judging you from the moment they pick up your book; you have to be sure the cover is as memorable and unique as the work inside."

Born in New York City and raised in Pittsburgh, Jason has been surrounded with industrialism and technology for most of his life, which can be easily seen in the products created at Lost Luggage.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from American University in Washington DC in 1992, with a major in Design and an emphasis in Photography and Art History. Jason's natural appreciation for how things are artfully constructed inspired him to explore the ways of industrial design and three-dimensional construction.

the creative process, Jason is also meticulous when it comes to serving his client with a fully functional product. Local and national clients including Victoria’s Secret, Finlandia, Nike, Vespa, Diesel and Apple have celebrated his original work. From conception to hands-on construction, his working style is collaborative and service-oriented so that each finished piece meets with unanimous appreciation in both form and function. It's about creating objects that are unique, utilitarian and fashion-forward.
