Nadine, Founder / Creative Director – Nadine Stellavato Brown is the Founder and Creative Director of Brand Envy and Taste Envy by Lost Luggage. With award-winning experience in graphic design, she joined Lost Luggage in 1999 after meeting and collaborating with Jason Brown on a branding project for one of Lost Luggage’s clients. Nadine and Jason were inspired to combine her graphic design talents with his product design acumen to begin offering design and branding services under the name Brand Envy.
Discovering that they shared more than a love of great design, Jason Brown and Nadine Stellavato Brown were married in 1999. Fueled by their shared passion for innovative cuisine, Nadine and Jason went on to expanded Brand Envy to include Taste Envy, a menu and collateral design firm focused on restaurant and hospitality clients. “My father was a successful food writer and it was always a central theme of my childhood, ” says Stellavato Brown. “We wanted to create Taste Envy to bring together our two passions – great design and great food.”
Born in Los Angeles, Stellavato Brown moved to San Francisco to attend California College of Arts and Crafts, from which she received a BFA degree in Graphic Design. Throughout her career, she has garnered many awards includingseveral BlackBook Annual Report Awards; the Studio Magazine Award, Creativity, Inc., Supon Design Group; PDN 24 Self Promo Awards; Graphis and is included in the Frye Art Museum. She has been a judge for Black Book’s AR 100 and has taught at the School of Visual Communications in Seattle and Art Center in Pasadena
Past and current clients for Brand Envy and Taste Envy include renowned companies and restaurants such as Hyatt Hotels, National Geographic, Akasha Restaurant, Barrio and Purple Café in Seattle, Joie de Vivre Hotels and Robert Mondavi.
Jason, Founder / Designer – Born in New York City and raised in Pittsburgh, Jason Brown graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from American University in Washington DC in 1992, with a major in Design and an emphasis in Photography and Art History. Jason’s natural appreciation for how things are artfully constructed inspired him to explore the ways of industrial design and three-dimensional construction. He founded Lost Luggage® in 1994 with the goal to design and produce custom portfolios and presentation cases for patrons searching for high quality and artistry. His work is fêted by local and national clients, including Victoria’s Secret, Finlandia, Nike, Vespa, Diesel, Chanel and Apple.
